A cowardly attack by Fitna al-Khawarij on the Khazina Banda School Checkpost in Hangu was foiled by police, District Police Officer Tariq Habib said.
According to DPO Tariq Habib, there was an intense exchange of fire between Fitna al-Khawarij and police.
During the firing, one Elite Force soldier was injured. The injured personnel was shifted to DHQ Hospital for medical treatment.
DPO Tariq Habib stated that the terrorists attempted to take control of the checkpost, but police stood firm and foiled their attempt with a strong response.
Security in the area has been further tightened and search operations are underway.
