MARDAN: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is set to address public gathering in Mardan today as part of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) ongoing political campaign.
Preparations for the event have been finalized at the designated rally ground, where a 60-foot long and 20-foot wide stage has been erected to accommodate the Chief Minister along with senior central and provincial party leadership.
To ensure the smooth conduct of the power show, the district administration and police have implemented a comprehensive security plan, deploying over 1,600 personnel across the venue and surrounding areas.
Organizers have made extensive arrangements for the expected influx of supporters, including the placement of approximately 40,000 chairs within the main arena.
The Chief Minister is expected to deliver a keynote address at approximately 5:00 PM, focusing on the current political landscape and the provincial government’s future roadmap.
Despite recent reports of coordination challenges within the opposition alliance, provincial ministers have expressed confidence that the Mardan rally will serve as a significant demonstration of public support for the party’s stance.
Local party workers have been mobilizing for the event throughout the morning, with convoys from neighboring districts expected to arrive by the afternoon.
Authorities have advised citizens to follow designated traffic routes to avoid congestion during the high-profile political activity.
