PESHAWAR (Kashif Aziz): A recent revelation concerning the alleged use of confiscated vehicles for official purposes in Peshawar has emerged following the public disclosure of a road use and duty slip issued by the Excise Warehouse.

According to the document, a seized 2019 Toyota Prius with registration number AUA-145 was allocated for official use. The vehicle is classified as property of the Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department.

The road use slip indicates that the vehicle was employed for official duties and was reportedly being utilized by Member of the National Assembly Shahid Khattak.

The document also specifies that the vehicle must be presented to the Excise Warehouse or the relevant court upon request. Additionally, a display registration number, AB-8261 Peshawar, is mentioned in the slip.

The leaked document bears the signature and official stamp of the officer in charge of the Excise Warehouse in Peshawar. This situation has raised concerns regarding the use of confiscated vehicles by government authorities for official purposes.
