ISLAMABAD: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a temporary suspension of gas supply to several areas of the federal capital due to work on a main gas pipeline.

According to a notice issued by SNGPL, gas supply will remain suspended from 9pm on Monday, September 7, until 5am on Tuesday, September 8, following the disconnection of the main pipeline near Khanna Pul, Service Road East and Islamabad Expressway.

The affected areas include Ghauri Town to Faizabad East Service Road, Lehtrar Road from Khanna Pul to Burma Town, Sohan, Ghauri Town, Gulberg, Shakrial, Rehman Garden and adjoining areas.

SNGPL advised consumers in the affected areas to make alternative arrangements for the duration of the suspension.

The company also urged consumers to keep gas appliances switched off while the supply remains suspended to prevent any untoward incident when gas supply is restored.
