Sri Lanka has set a major target of 185 runs for Pakistan to win in the tri-nation T20 series match.
Sri Lanka, batting first, scored 184 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Kamil Mishra scored 76, and Kusal Mendis scored 40 runs for Sri Lanka, while Dasan Shanaka remained not out with 17 runs. Abrar Ahmed took two wickets for Pakistan, while Mohammad Wasim Junior and Saim Ayub took one wicket each. Earlier, captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss and invited Sri Lankan captain Dasan Shanaka to bat.
After the toss, Salman Ali Agha said that the team will maintain the winning streak, and the pitch seems favorable for both bowling and batting. Two changes have been made to the national team squad, with spinners Usman Tariq and Naseem Shah rested while fast bowlers Salman Mirza and Abrar Ahmed recalled to the final XI.
The Pakistani team is led by Salman Ali Agha and includes Saim Ayub, Babar Azam, Sahibzada Farhan, Usman Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Wasim Junior, Salman Mirza, and Abrar Ahmed. Sri Lanka has made no changes to its previous winning team. The Sri Lankan team features Patham Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Kamil Mishara, Kusal Perera, Janath Liyanage, Dasan Shanaka, Pawan Rathna Eke, Wanindu Hisaranga, Dashmantha Chimera, Mahesh Thekkishana, and Ishan Malinga.
The national team has been undefeated in the series so far and has also qualified for the final. Sri Lanka must defeat Pakistan to reach the final; otherwise, in the event of a defeat to Pakistan, the team with the better run rate will face the Green Shirts in the final.
