Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been making claims of reforms in the health sector and providing better medical facilities under the “Health Facilitation Program”, but the ground realities are showing the opposite as patients was shifted in rain to private medical facility due to lack of ultrasound in Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical complex Nowshera.
According to sources, a patient in the hospital was shifted out of the building during the rain to provide ultrasound facilities. This scene was not only sad but also highlighted the difficulties faced by the patients and the lack of basic facilities. The lack of proper facilities provided to the patient inside the hospital in severe weather conditions is raising questions as to whether the medical system is really meeting the needs of the people or not.
The incident has drawn strong reactions from locals and social media users, who have called it a sign of mismanagement and poor facilities. Critics say that claims of reform lose their validity if even basic diagnostic facilities cannot be provided effectively in hospitals.
According to health experts, diagnostic facilities such as ultrasound in any hospital must be provided in a proper and safe environment, especially in situations where the patient is already suffering from physical discomfort. Shifting a patient outside in rain or other adverse conditions is not only inappropriate but also likely to worsen the patient’s condition.
The incident indicates that despite claims of improvement in the health sector, there are still many challenges on the ground, which need to be addressed through immediate attention and effective measures. Citizens have demanded that the matter be investigated and action taken against those responsible, as well as improving facilities in hospitals to prevent such incidents in the future.
