PESHAWAR:Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed paid tribute to police martyrs in a video message on Police Martyrs’ Day, calling it “not just a day, but a saga of sacrifice.”
The IGP said that the entire nation takes pride in the sacrifices of the police. He saluted every martyr of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police who laid down their lives for peace, the survival of the state, and the protection of the people.
Zulfiqar Hameed stated that the war against terrorism is not merely a war of weapons, guns, and ammunition, but a war of courage and faith. He said the enemy tried to break the morale of the force through blasts, attacks, and every possible tactic.
”Every young officer of KP Police stood like a rock against the enemy. Our personnel gave their last drop of blood but did not let the enemy succeed” he said.
The IGP described the police force as an army of brave hearts who consider martyrdom not as weakness but as their strengthm
He reaffirmed that the department will never leave the families of martyrs alone “Police officers and personnel must keep the lamp lit by the blood of our martyrs burning forever,” he added.
Police Martyrs’ Day is observed across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to honor officers who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
