ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has introduced a new online payment system for Hajj expenses, enabling intending pilgrims to pay their Hajj dues from home through the 1LINK digital payment network, following directives from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the ministry said the entire Hajj process from registration to fee payment has been digitized to provide applicants with a faster, more transparent, and convenient experience.
The spokesperson of the ministry revealed that applicants can now make Hajj payments through the 1LINK facility in electronic mode without having to visit Hajj registration centres.
Through this online facility, the citizens living abroad will also be able to register themselves and make Hajj payments in an easy way.
It is mentioned in the press release that the online registration of Hajj 2027 is ongoing and there have already been registrations of more than 150,000 applicants on the official Hajj portal of the country.
Hajj 2027 Applicants Can Now Check Application Status Online
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has introduced an online application inquiry feature, allowing registered applicants for Hajj 2027 to check the status of their applications through the country’s digital Hajj portal.
The new feature is part of a major update to the ministry’s digital Hajj management system aimed at improving transparency and making services more accessible for intending pilgrims.
With the help of the upgraded system, applicants registered for Hajj of 2027 to 2030 can now trace the status of their application online without having to travel to the relevant government offices or government-authorized banks.
This facility for online inquiry of applications was designed and developed by the National Information Technology Board (NITB).
This new facility will be useful for Hajj applicants who apply individually as well as in groups. Through the Hajj website, the applicants can get the status of their registration and application very quickly.
It is stated that this initiative aims to provide better digital service to the Hajj applicants so that they can trace their application and get updates about the Hajj.
