PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced the end of its Friday work from home policy with the decision taking effect from July 1, according to an official notification issued on Tuesday.
According to the new policy, Friday would again be treated as a normal working day, and all government employees would be obliged to report to their respective departments and carry out their official duties.
The notification informed that formal directions have been issued to all administrative secretaries for the implementation of this decision immediately.
It meant that all government departments in the province would function normally on Fridays.
The Friday work from home policy had been introduced as part of the austerity drive of the provincial government to save energy and reduce operational costs.
