ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced a strong public response to the Hajj 2027 online registration campaign, with more than 51,000 applications submitted within just two days of the process opening.

A spokesperson for the Ministry has said that 46,000 people applied through the official online website, whereas another 5,000 have registered through the ‘Pak Hajj’ mobile application.

According to data shared by the ministry, there have been 41,000 applications for the government Hajj scheme and 10,000 for the private Hajj operators. According to region-wise breakup, 24,000 applications have been filed by people from Punjab, 16,000 from Sindh, 7,000 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 3,000 from Islamabad.

There have also been a few applicants from other regions, such as 800 from Balochistan, 260 from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and 77 from Gilgit Baltistan. The number of males has been estimated to be 30,000 and females at 21,000 and a large number of applicants belong to the age bracket of 30 to 48 years.

The ministry has also said that this process of online registration for Hajj has been introduced in collaboration with the National Information Technology Board.

It is also stated by the officials that the mandatory registration drive would go on unhampered, and information related to fees, packages, and other arrangements will be made known during the second phase.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has advised all pilgrims to get registered within the specified time frame to avoid any problems in subsequent stages of the Hajj process.

Government Opens Hajj 2027 Registration Process

Earlier, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that registration for Hajj 2027 will begin on June 22, 2026, under the government’s official pilgrimage arrangements.

According to the ministry, the registration process will be conducted through the designated online portal, allowing eligible applicants to submit their details for consideration in the upcoming Hajj scheme. Officials said that registration will remain mandatory for all intending pilgrims, and no applicant will be considered for any Hajj package without completing the registration process.

The ministry further stated that overseas Pakistanis will also be eligible to register for Hajj 2027 through the same system, ensuring wider accessibility for the diaspora community.

Details regarding Hajj 2027 costs, quota allocations, and other policy guidelines will be announced at a later stage under the finalized Hajj policy framework.

Authorities have urged all prospective pilgrims to complete their registration within the stipulated timeframe and advised applicants to stay updated through the official website of the Ministry of Religious Affairs for further announcements.

The ministry reiterated that timely registration is essential, and no participation in any Hajj scheme will be possible without prior enrollment.
