SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: Unknown armed men kidnapped six police personnel, including SHO Ahmed Shah, in South Waziristan Upper Sararogha Tehsil on Wednesday.

According to police sources, SHO Sararogha Ahmed Shah was returning from the site of the shelling along with his colleagues when terrorists set up a roadblock on the way. The armed men stopped the SHO and his colleagues and kidnapped them.

Confirming the incident, the police said that police and security forces have tightened roadblocks at various places to recover the kidnapped officials, efforts are underway, and an investigation into the incident has been launched.

So far, no trace of SHO Ahmed Shah and other kidnapped officials could be found, due to which the families are in deep distress. Security has been put on high alert in Sararogha and its surroundings after the incident.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the kidnapping of the kidnapped officials. The news of the kidnapping of the police personnel caused severe fear among the local community, as terrorist elements frequently attack police and security forces in the area to create a law and order situation.
