Tarouba: Pakistan’s run chase got off to a shaky start after the visitors lost six wickets while pursuing a target of 211 against the West Indies in the opening Test at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.
At lunch on the fourth day, Pakistan were struggling at 28 for 3 after losing Azan Awais for 3, Imam-ul-Haq for 3 and Salman Ali Agha without scoring.
Earlier, the West Indies resumed their second innings on 126 for 7 and were bowled out for 181, setting Pakistan a victory target of 211.
Fast bowler Mohammad Abbas starred with the ball, claiming five wickets, while Khurram Shahzad and Mohammad Ali picked up two wickets each to wrap up the West Indies innings.
The hosts had posted 311 in their first innings before Pakistan replied with 282, conceding a 29-run first-innings deficit.
