City Traffic Police Chakwal has outlined the procedure for 16- to 18-year-old teenagers seeking a juvenile driving permit for motorcycles and scooters.
According to the traffic police, teenagers aged 16 to 18 who know how to ride a motorcycle or scooter can obtain a juvenile driving permit from their nearest licensing centre, allowing them to legally ride the vehicles.
Applicants do not have to wait 42 days for the permit. They can obtain it on the same day after passing the sign test, the traffic police said.
The fee for a juvenile driving permit is Rs1,000 for applicants aged 16, while those aged 17 are required to pay Rs500.
Applicants must provide a B-Form or Child Registration Certificate (CRC), while their guardian must accompany them with the original CNIC.
The traffic police advised eligible teenagers and their guardians to complete the required documentation and visit the nearest licensing centre to obtain the permit.
