ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has outlined the procedure for obtaining a Juvenile Card for children under the age of 18, allowing parents and legal guardians to apply through NADRA Registration Centres across Pakistan.
According to the authority, applicants must first pay the token fee and obtain a token at the registration centre. The child’s photograph, fingerprints and other required biometric and personal information are then recorded.
The process also includes verification of the parent or legal guardian, followed by data entry and fingerprint verification by an approval officer. After the online fee is paid, the Juvenile Card will be issued within the selected processing period.
NADRA said the application must be submitted in the presence of either the child’s father, mother or legal guardian at a NADRA Registration Centre.
Applicants are also required to provide the child’s computerized birth certificate issued by the relevant Union Council or Municipal Committee.
The authority has set the following fee structure for the Juvenile Card:
- Normal Service: Rs750, with delivery within 31 days
- Urgent Service: Rs1,500, with delivery within 23 days
- Executive Service: Rs2,500, with delivery within 9 days
The Juvenile Card serves as the national identity document for Pakistani citizens under the age of 18 and facilitates access to various public services and official documentation.
