LAHORE: The Higher Education Department has officially announced the start of summer vacations for colleges across Punjab.

As mentioned in the notification issued by the department, the vacations would commence from May 22 and shall be applicable for both public and private colleges.

Furthermore, the notification mentioned that the four-year-degree courses would remain unaffected and would continue on their normal schedule, along with the examinations as per the schedule.

The duration of the vacation is set till August 24.

Government announces Eid-ul-Azha holidays

Earlier, the federal government has announced good news for the public by announcing official holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-azha.

A formal notification has been issued by the Cabinet Division, according to which there will be three-day holidays across the country.

According to the notification, the Prime Minister has approved official holidays on May 26, 27 and 28 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. Under this decision, all government institutions across the country will remain closed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

These holidays will be applicable to government institutions across the country, after which the enthusiasm for Eid preparations has increased further among the citizens.

The public has welcomed this decision of the government and called it an increase in the joy of Eid, while the citizens are now busy preparing for the long Eid weekend.
