ABU DHABI: Overseas Pakistanis living in the United Arab Emirates can now access Punjab land and property records without travelling to Pakistan, following the launch of Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) services in the UAE.
The Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai have formally launched Punjab Land Record Services for the Pakistani community in the UAE.
“Punjab Land Record Services for the Pakistani Community have been initiated in cooperation with the Punjab Land Record Authority and are now available at both Pakistani Missions,” read a statement released by the Pakistani embassy.
“After the launch, the two Pakistani missions started issuing ‘Fard’, which is an official document with information about land ownership. With the facility available now, the Pakistanis in the UAE will be able to get important services related to land and property in Punjab without visiting Pakistan.”
It was stated that the facility was designed to make the services of the government easily accessible to overseas Pakistanis.
The initiative is also part of the government’s broader efforts to improve digital facilitation for overseas Pakistanis and make access to public services easier.
