Honda has launched Pakistan’s most popular motorcycle CD 70 in the market with new stickers and graphics, however, the new model has not changed the engine, performance and technical features.
According to the company, only external changes have been made to the new CD 70, under which three different sticker designs have been introduced, while the mechanical platform of the motorcycle has been maintained as before.
The new model has the same 4-stroke, OHC, air-cooled engine as before, while it has been given a 4-speed constant mesh gearbox.
The motorcycle also retains the kick-start system, 8.5-liter fuel tank and one-liter reserve fuel capacity. The company has not announced any changes in fuel economy, speed, braking system, suspension or other technical parts.
The price of the CD 70 is currently listed on the Atlas Honda website at Rs 159,000, however, the company has not yet made an official announcement regarding any change in the price of the model with the new stickers.
After the announcement of the new model, criticism has also emerged from some users on social media. Users say that the company has been changing mainly stickers and colors for many years, while new features are not being added to the motorcycle according to the needs of the modern era.
Users are demanding that the motorcycle be equipped with a modern braking system, LED lights, digital meters, better suspension and other facilities.
The CD 70 has been one of the best-selling motorcycles in Pakistan for decades. Due to its low fuel consumption, easy maintenance, availability of spare parts and better resale value, this motorcycle is popular among ordinary consumers, students, employees and business people.
Despite increasing competition in the market, the CD70 continues to maintain its leading position due to its strong brand value and reliable performance, however, consumers are now expecting technical improvements along with cosmetic changes.
