PESHAWAR: Thousand of workers started pouring to Peshawar from different parts of the province as preparation are in full swing in the venue where PTI leader and Chief Minister Sohail Afridi will address the workers.

A protest rally will be held in Peshawar today against the imprisonment of founding chairman Imran Khan under the auspices of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, for which all arrangements have been completed.

A stage has been prepared for the rally at the cricket ground near the Peshawar Motorway, while other arrangements have also been completed at the rally venue. The rally will be addressed by the central and provincial leadership of PTI, including Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi, while important announcements are expected.

According to the administration, strict security arrangements have been made to maintain law and order during the rally. In view of security concerns, additional police personnel have been deployed since night, while surveillance of the rally venue and surrounding areas has also been increased.

A special traffic plan has been prepared for the Ring Road, Northern Bypass, GT Road and other important highways to maintain traffic flow so that citizens do not face any problems.

The leadership of PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with police officers, visited the rally venue and reviewed the security and administrative matters. According to officials, monitoring of security, traffic and other arrangements will continue continuously during the rally.
