PESHAWAR: Pakistan Army and locals rescued three labourers trapped after a coal mine collapsed near Pastawana in Hasan Khel Peshawar on Saturday.
The workers were trapped after soil and debris suddenly fell inside the coal mine during routine work. Soon after receiving information about the incident, Pakistan Army personnel and rescue teams reached the site and started a large-scale rescue operation with the help of local residents.
After a difficult and lengthy operation, three of the four trapped workers were safely rescued from the mine. The rescue teams used heavy machinery to remove the debris to make a safe passage into the mine. The operation was carried out carefully due to the difficult conditions inside the mine. The search for the fourth worker is still underway, while rescue teams are continuing efforts to safely clear the remaining debris and reach the trapped worker.
