DERA ISMAILKHAN: At least two workers of Rescue 1122 martyred after their ambulance carrying injured people of a suicide attack was attacked by armed attackers in Dera Ismail Khan on Saturday.
According to details, Rescue1122 vehicles were carrying dead bodies and injured of Darazinda suicide attack when armed attackers targetted one of their vehciles on the way to nearby hospital.
The attack killed two Rescue 1122 workers travelling in the ambulance. Following the incident, security forces launched a search operation in the area to track down those involved in the attack.
The bodies of the martyred Rescue 1122 workers were shifted to hospital. The incident came after a suicide blast in Darazinda, where rescue teams had been working to provide emergency assistance and shift the injured to hospital.
Earlier, a suspected suicide attack involving an explosives-laden vehicle was reportedly carried out near the Aman Mela Police Checkpost in the Darazinda area of Dera Ismail Khan, with fears of multiple civilian casualties. According to initial reports, terrorists targeted the police checkpost near a residential area using an explosives-laden vehicle. Several civilians are feared to have been killed or injured in the attack.
