PESHAWAR: A 10-year-old Awais, a fifth-grade student from Tehkal Pulsoi lost his life while filming a TikTok video at home. The child, who had placed a pistol near the mirror while shooting his video, unintentionally discharged the weapon, resulting in fatal injuries.
According to the Express News reports, Awais had possession of a cell phone because he was part of the WhatsApp group of his school, where the students were exchanging material. While he was recording a TikTok video, he accidentally pulled the trigger, not know whatsoever how to operate the weapon properly. What was unfortunate was that the weapon was shot due to its proximity to Awais.
Awais’ father Saifur Rahman mentioned the following: “He had gone to school with the rest of his friends; unfortunately, he died as a result of a tiny mistake he made by him.” The family of Awais has to grieve about their loss because, according to Saifur Rahman, his wife could not stand all that had happened.
It can be seen that the recent incident reflects a concerning development among the younger generation regarding video shooting with weapons on social networking platforms. Several experts have expressed their concerns regarding the growing instances of accidents related to firearms due to the careless usage of weapons while recording videos.
Famous Tiktoker Sana Javed shot dead
Earlier on March 23, popular Pashto TikToker Sana Javed, who was known online as Outlofara, was tragically shot dead by her husband on Sunday in the H-11 district of Islamabad.
According to police reports, the victim hailed from Attock.
Her husband, named Sadiq, shot her before taking his own life, with both individuals pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities discovered three shell casings along with a 9mm pistol, which has since been secured by the police.
Sadiq had previously served as a constable with the Attock Police but had been dismissed from his position.
Sana Javed had been married once before, having divorced her first husband, Shafiq Ahmed, and Sadiq was her second spouse. Law enforcement officials indicated that the couple frequently had fights.
Investigators suspect that domestic conflicts resulted in the killing of Tiktoker Sana Javed.
The shooting took place near Lingnam Tower, falling under the jurisdiction of the H-11 police station.
A case has been filed, and police are actively pursuing investigations to figure out the complete details surrounding the incident.
The case comes after a local TikToker, Jawed Mahandri was shot dead during an iftar gathering in Balakot, Mansehra district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, earlier in March.
The incident occurred while he was spending some time with his friends during Ramzan.
According to reports, Mahandri was sitting with some friends when the shooting took place. A video of the incident later went viral on social media.
