ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has declared the highest-ever recovery made by the organization, stating that the organization has recovered more than Rs 2.452 trillion in the second quarter of 2026.
As per the report issued by the NAB, the recent recoveries took the total recovered amount by the organization in the first six months of the year to Rs5.414 trillion.
NAB mentioned in the report that during March 2023 to June 2026, the total worth of the recoveries made by the organization reached a record Rs16.938 trillion.
The accountability agency added that during the three-month period, more than 1.078 million acres of precious public land were recovered by the organization from the illegal occupation in the provinces of Balochistan, Sindh, Punjab and Islamabad.
In collaboration with the Sindh government and Forest Department, NAB Sukkur recovered more than 853,000 acres of land owned by the National Highway Authority (NHA), forests and irrigation departments. The organization handed over the recovered land to the provincial government, which had an estimated value of about Rs1.01 trillion.
