ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Muhammad Sohail Afridi has announced to file a petition in the Islamabad High Court for not arranging a meeting with the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister, Imran Khan.

Chief Minister Sohail Afridi was addressing the media after ending his sit-in outside the Adiala prison on Tuesday night.

He said he has been visiting the Adiala jail since assuming the office of Chief Minister, but has never been allowed to meet his leader, who has been incarcerated since 2023.

He stated that he will submit a petition to the Islamabad High Court on Wednesday against the jail administration for failing to arrange his meeting with Imran Khan.

Mr Afridi emphasised that they would hold a sit-in outside the Parliament house on June 10 if their meeting with Imran Khan was not arranged.
He also warned that they will halt the federal budget, and he was struggling to meet with Imran Khan to discuss the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa budget.
