RIYADH: The Pushtun community in Saudi Arabia has called for strict action against individuals using TikTok to spread obscene and inappropriate content in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The demand was made during an important meeting of the Pushtun Islah Committee Saudi Arabia in Riyadh, attended by Pushtun elders representing 32 different tribes and communities from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Participants strongly condemned the use of TikTok for vulgar conversations and the dissemination of immoral content, saying such activities were damaging the social environment and tarnishing the image of the Pushtun community.
The elders called for strict measures against those involved in spreading inappropriate material and urged that individuals bringing disrepute to Pushtun culture and traditions be dealt with firmly.
They also stressed that the Pushtun community in Saudi Arabia would continue to ensure a positive, dignified and responsible role while upholding the values and traditions of their culture.
