PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has condemned terrorist attacks in Bannu, Khyber district, and Bajaur. The special assistant to the information and public relations minister, Shafi Jan, showed great concern regarding the incidents and condemned them in strong terms.

While commenting on recent terrorist attacks, Shafi Jan termed drone strikes in Bannu and Khyber, where civilians were injured, including a woman, “extremely tragic and condemnable.” He highlighted that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, together with the security forces, have sacrificed their lives many times in combating terrorism, and the provincial government is taking necessary steps to avoid similar incidents in the future.

The injured are getting the best medical treatment available, and all facilities are being provided to the concerned family members. Shafi Jan wished a quick recovery for the injured from their injuries.

Regarding the terrorist attack on security forces in Bajaur, Shafi Jan felt extremely sorry over the incident and offered condolences to the martyred souls.

He said that the country is still united in the battle against terrorism, and the sacrifice of the security forces is the pride of the whole nation. “The sacrifices of our martyrs shall forever be remembered and shall not be in vain,” he continued.

Shafi Jan also reiterated that the provincial government is with the martyrs’ families and that the injured are receiving the best medical treatment possible. “May Allah grant the martyrs a high status in their graves and speedy recovery to the injured,” he prayed.

Four personnel of security forces martyred, nine Khawarij killed in Bajaur clashes

Earlier, four personnel of security forces were martyred and nine terrorists were killed in the Inayat and Mina Kaly area of Bajaur on Thursday.

According to the latest details of the clash between security forces and Fitna-ul-Khawarij terrorists in the Mina and Inayat-Kale areas of Bajaur, the Pakistan Army has foiled the terrorist attack and killed 9 Khawarij so far. Early this morning, a group of Khawarij tried to target security posts in Mina and Inayat-Kale, but the capable soldiers present there retaliated quickly and effectively, forcing the attackers to retreat.

During the fierce exchange of fire, 4 brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army were martyred while defending the motherland. The sacrifice of the martyred soldiers shattered the evil intentions of the terrorists. Immediately after the incident, additional security forces reached the scene, and the entire area was cordoned off.

According to sources, a large-scale search operation is underway in the area to find the fugitive terrorists, and strict surveillance is being carried out on the entry and exit routes. The ongoing operations under the Pakistan Army’s to stabilize the region are aimed at completely eradicating the remaining effects of terrorism from the region. The local population has also appreciated the courage of the security forces and expressed complete solidarity with the state in the fight against terrorism.

Nine terrorists of Fitna-ul-Khawarij killed another injured in Bannu

Similarly, nine terrorists of Fitna-ul-Khawarij were killed in a joint intelligence-based operation of police and security forces in Shad Khan Qilla village near Jani Khel area of ​​Bannu.

According to details, police and security forces conducted a joint operation in the Shad Khan Qilla area of ​​Bannu based on intelligence information about the presence of Khawarij and effectively targeted their hideout. During the operation, nine Khawarij were killed while one Kharaji was seriously injured, sources have reported. According to security sources, the Khawarij who were killed were also involved in the terrorist attack on Fateh Khel police station a few days ago, and their search was ongoing.

A clearance operation is underway in the area, and the search for more facilitators and escaped Khawarij is still ongoing. Khawarij and their facilitators are being selectively killed under Operation Azm-i-Istehkam.
