KARACHI: Pakistan Women cricket team has secured a dominant 67-run triumph over the Zimbabwe side in the second T20 international held at National Stadium, gaining a comfortable 2–0 lead in the series of three matches.
Putting into bat in the wake of winning the toss, Pakistan posted a score of 170 for the loss of 4 wickets inside 20 overs, putting up an imposing score courtesy of solid batting performances.
Eman Fatima made a significant contribution for her team as she remained unbeaten throughout the inning scoring an excellent 79 runs. Muneeba Ali scored 36 runs while Natalia Pervaiz hit 24 runs for the Pakistan side.
Besides them, Gul Feroza (9 runs), Ayesha Zafar (4 runs) and Iram Javed (5 runs) made some valuable contributions which helped the side post a challenging score for the opponents.
On their part, Zimbabwe failed to chase down the daunting target, as they were restricted to only 103/8 in the stipulated 20 overs against the disciplined bowling of the Pakistan team.
By defeating the Zimbabwe side, the Pakistan team has gained an unassailable lead in the series as they won the opener with an amazing margin of 153 runs.
Now, the last T20 international match between the two sides will take place on Friday.
