The American newspaper New York Times has claimed that Iran has destroyed seven US radar systems in the Middle East. According to the report, satellite images confirm the damage to US installations.

The newspaper says that Iran also tried to target the US military’s communication system. The report claims that US installations in Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates were attacked. According to the report, the largest US radar system was destroyed in Bahrain, which was used to monitor naval operations.

On the other hand, a spokesperson for the US Central Command (CENTCOM) has refrained from commenting directly on this matter. According to experts, if these claims prove to be true, it could have far-reaching effects on the security and military balance in the Middle East.

The New York Times further has revealed in its recent report that Iran’s missile and drone attacks have severely damaged US defence capabilities in the Middle East. According to the report, Iran has targeted and completely or partially destroyed seven (7) very expensive and advanced radar systems at US military bases in the Gulf countries and Iraq. These include the $1.1 billion AN/FPS-132 Early Warning Radar System located at Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

US forces suffered a loss of approximately $1.9 billion in military equipment in the first four days of the operation. These attacks were mainly carried out on US installations in Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Iraq (Erbil). The New York Times has also confirmed the destruction of US military infrastructure at Erbil Airport through satellite images.
