ISLAMABAD: Citizens across Pakistan can now obtain duplicate copies of birth, death, marriage and divorce certificates from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need for unnecessary visits to NADRA offices.

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a new facility through its Pak-ID mobile application to make access to civil registration documents easier for citizens.

According to NADRA officials, citizens can now apply through the Pak-ID app for duplicate copies of certificates previously issued by their respective Union Councils.

The initiative aims to simplify the process of obtaining essential certificates and save citizens from repeated visits to NADRA offices.

NADRA clarified that citizens whose certificates have already been issued by their relevant Union Council can also approach the concerned Union Council directly if they require another copy.

The online application facility is available across all Union Councils in Sindh and Punjab, Islamabad, all districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and selected districts of Balochistan.

Citizens have been advised to use the Pak-ID mobile application to apply for birth, death, marriage or divorce certificates.

For further information and assistance, citizens can contact NADRA’s helpline at 1777.
