ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is continuing special activities across the country to collect citizens iris biometrics and facilitate the registration of children.
NADRA teams visited various educational institutions in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Gujrat, where iris scans were conducted for a large number of children, teachers and staff members.
Similar activities were also held at schools, colleges and universities in Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Sialkot, Narowal, Okara and Gujranwala.
In all districts of southern Punjab, NADRA teams visited schools as part of the school registration campaign, using mobile registration vans to facilitate the issuance of B-Forms for children and conduct iris scans.
Meanwhile, NADRA teams carried out iris scanning activities at schools and local government institutions in various areas of Sindh, including Sukkur, Jacobabad, Thul, Dadu and Kashmore.
Iris biometrics constitute the third component of biometric identification and are being introduced to make citizens’ identification more secure and reliable.
NADRA is offering iris scanning services free of charge as part of its efforts to facilitate citizens.
