LOWER DIR: A major road accident occurred near the Zolam Bridge area of Lower Dir on Sunday, where a high-speed collision between coaches left 14 passengers injured.
The victims, who include women and children, were travelling when the two vehicles crashed, prompting an immediate emergency response.
Upon receiving the alert, the Rescue 1122 control room dispatched medical teams and ambulances to the site without delay. Rescue personnel provided essential first aid to the victims directly inside the ambulances to stabilise their conditions.
Following the initial on-site treatment, all 14 injured individuals were shifted to Timergara Hospital for further medical care. Local authorities and rescue teams remained on the scene to manage traffic and ensure the safety of other commuters following the incident.
