BAJAUR: At least 11 people, including women and children, were injured after strong winds and a severe storm swept through several areas of Bajaur, causing widespread damage and disrupting electricity supply, local authorities said.

According to the district administration, all injured individuals were shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Khar, where hospital officials said they are receiving timely medical treatment.

The powerful winds caused extensive damage to solar panels at various locations, while fallen trees and electricity poles led to the suspension of power supply in multiple areas.

Local sources said the storm also disrupted traffic in some parts of the district, creating difficulties for commuters.

The district administration has launched an assessment of the damage and is monitoring the situation, while relevant authorities continue efforts to restore essential services and clear affected areas.
