RAWALPINDI: Pakistan on Tuesday successfully conducted a test launch of the indigenously developed extended version of the Fatah-4 Ground-Launched Cruise Missile, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

According to the military’s media wing, the Fatah-4 extended version is equipped with advanced avionics and state-of-the-art navigational aids.

The weapon system is capable of engaging targets at extended ranges with high precision and lethality, ISPR said.

The test also validated additional technical parameters of various subsystems incorporated into the missile system to improve accuracy and enhance survivability.

Senior officers from the Pakistan Army, along with scientists and engineers from the developing agency, witnessed the launch.

Following the successful test, the President, Prime Minister, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, and Services Chiefs congratulated those involved in the achievement.

The country’s leadership also appreciated the technical expertise, dedication and commitment of the scientists, engineers and personnel who contributed to the development and successful testing of the Fatah-4 extended version.
