PESHAWAR: Six people injured in the ongoing tension on the Pak-Afghan border clashes in different areas shifted to Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) last night.

According to hospital spokesperson Muhammad Asim, the number of injured who were shifted is 6, whose ages range from 8 to 30 years. An 8-year-old girl and a woman are also among the injured. Two injured have been discharged after first aid and treatment, while 4 injured are currently undergoing treatment in the hospital

The spokesperson said that the condition of all the injured is currently out of danger, however, they will be kept under observation in the hospital for a few more days for complete recovery. In view of the border situation, the LRH administration has taken emergency steps and placed the border on high alert so that any emergency can be dealt with immediately. The leaves of all the staff of the concerned departments have been cancelled. An ample stock of beds and medicines has been ensured for the emergency.

It should be noted that the security situation in border and adjoining areas is very sensitive due to the recent shelling and clashes from across the border, due to which an emergency has been imposed in major hospitals in Peshawar.
