The joint parliamentary committee approved the establishment of constitutional courts and voted to extend the decision period for pending cases from six months to one year. If a case is not pursued within one year, it will be considered disposed of.
The ANP’s amendment to change the name of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Pakhtunkhwa was presented in the committee. They argued that “Khyber” refers to a district and noted that in other provinces, district names are not included in the provincial name.
MQM representatives in local government expressed their agreement on the amendment related to funding, and discussions are ongoing regarding increasing the number of seats in the Balochistan Assembly.
