ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced new prices for imported re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) for September 2026, reducing the rates by around 20 to 22 per cent for one month.
According to a notification issued by the regulator, the RLNG transmission price for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL) has been reduced by 19.99pc.
The distribution price for SNGPL has also been cut by 20.14pc, while the RLNG transmission price for Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd (SSGCL) has been reduced by 21.53pc.
OGRA said the revisions would remain applicable for September and cover the supply of imported gas and the relevant consumer categories.
The regulator said the revised rates had been determined after taking relevant factors into account, with separate adjustments made to transmission and distribution charges for SNGPL and SSGCL.
The reduction in RLNG prices is expected to affect the cost of imported gas for the gas companies and the applicable consumer categories.
