Govt to launch online portal for complaints under PM’s fuel relief scheme

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to launch a dedicated online portal to address complaints related to vehicle registration and fuel token payments under the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme.

The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Senator Ahad Khan Cheema in Islamabad to review the implementation of the scheme.

The Ministry of IT and the Pakistan Digital Authority briefed the meeting on progress, stating that more than five million people have registered under the scheme and fuel tokens are being generated successfully.

The meeting also discussed registration problems faced by some rickshaw and loader owners, particularly those whose vehicles are not registered with provincial Excise Departments. Authorities said registration of rickshaws had begun.

Cheema directed the Pakistan Digital Authority to make the dedicated complaint portal operational at the earliest so beneficiaries can report registration and token-payment issues.

Officials further told the meeting that most registration-related problems at petrol pumps had been resolved, while most payments to petrol stations had also been made.
