‎An unusual rush of tourists has been seen at recreational places on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. A large number of people have flocked to picnic points across the country, including Murree, Islamabad and KP.

‎There was a huge rush of tourists and locals at recreational places across the country on the second and third days of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Thousands of families celebrated Eid in Lake View Park, Daman-e-Koh and Shakar Parian in the twin cities.

‎The influx of tourists has reached its peak in Murree, where according to the administration, lakhs of vehicles have entered.

Meanwhile, a large number of citizens in Swati headed to the mountains, however, due to huge traffic, the administration has advised citizens to exercise caution.

Tourists were also in high demand in Swat and Naran, the upper areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, due to pleasant weather.

Although there is still snow in many places, eager tourists are reaching there for the views of Lake Saif-ul-Muluk and Shogran.

The Meteorological Department has predicted intermittent rain in the northern areas and light snowfall in the mountains. Tourists have been advised to check the fitness of their vehicles and the weather conditions before setting off on their journey.

The administration has set up information desks at various places for the convenience of tourists and appealed to take precautionary measures in view of the risk of landslides in the upper areas.‎
