ISLAMABAD: The wait is finally over for Pakistani music lovers as Apple Music has officially arrived in the country after 11-year.

Apple updated its “Availability of Apple Media Services” page, listing Apple Music is now officially available in Pakistan. The music streaming service was launched globally in 2015 and was initially made available in more than 100 countries.

Apple Music’s subscription plans are now available for Pakistani users through the Apple Music app. The Individual plan, which allows one person to access unlimited music, costs Rs379 per month. The Family plan is priced at Rs649 per month and allows multiple users to access the service. Both plans come with a one-month free trial before automatically renewing on a monthly basis.

The arrival of Apple Music comes 11 years after its global launch and follows a similar delay in the arrival of other major international streaming services in Pakistan. Spotify, which was launched in 2008, officially arrived in Pakistan in 2021, 13 years after its global launch.

The availability of Apple Music in Pakistan gives local music fans another major international streaming platform to choose from alongside existing services. Pakistani users can now subscribe to Apple Music directly through the app and access its music catalogue without having to rely on foreign accounts or change their regional settings.
