The Pakistan Rice Festival was held successfully in the Netherlands, in which more than 100 business and food sector representatives from across Europe participated.

Pakistani Basmati rice received a warm welcome at the festival, while European importers, retailers, and renowned chefs appreciated the quality of Pakistani rice. Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan welcomed the organization of the festival and said that such international trade events play an important role in promoting Pakistani exports.

He said that the growing demand for Pakistani basmati rice in European markets is a major achievement, and the government is committed to increasing the access of Pakistani products to global markets.

According to the Commerce Minister, the bilateral trade volume between the Netherlands and Pakistan has reached $1.94 billion, while the European business community has also been invited to take advantage of investment opportunities in Pakistan, which will further increase exports and investment between Pakistan and European countries.

Pakistan continues to promote its rice globally, especially Basmati varieties, through international food expos and trade events. Recent showcases at global food exhibitions have highlighted Pakistani rice as a major export commodity, strengthening its image in foreign markets
