LAHORE: Renowned actress Momina Iqbal has officially tied the knot with Hamza Habib, according to statements made by Habib during a media interaction outside the Lahore High Court.
While talking to the media, Hamza Habib informed that they had completed their nikah two days ago as he was not engaged anymore but was a husband of the actress.
This happened when Hamza Habib is in legal trouble. He was given protective bail till June 1st by the Lahore High Court after directing him to go to the concerned trial court.
As per information available on the web, a case had been filed against Hamza Habib for making threatening remarks to a man named Saqib Chadhar by the police in Jhang.
At the time of his hearing at the Lahore High Court, Habib termed it false and baseless while saying that Momina Iqbal had become his wife.
He also said that attempts were being made to force him to disengage from the actress in exchange for money.
Actress Momina Iqbal appeals to Maryam Nawaz over online harassment
Earlier, Pakistani television actress Momina Iqbal has revealed that she has been facing prolonged online harassment, cyberbullying, and death threats. She has now appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for intervention.
In the social media platform, Momina narrated the whole incident regarding her experience where the actress said that she is being molested by a Member of the Provincial Assembly belonging to Pakistan Muslim League-N.
According to the statement issued by the actress, she had registered many complaints against him in NCTC, FIA, and the Punjab police but they have been suppressed.
The actress further revealed that rather than getting justice through these complaints, her case got buried under political influence. In addition, the actress stated that even her family members have suffered a lot because of her legal efforts.
While appealing to the Punjab CM, Momina Iqbal sought an impartial investigation into the case, safety for her family, and strict actions against the perpetrators.
Her case won many hearts online, as people on social media came to her support in totality.
Momina Iqbal is a new entrant to the world of entertainment since she started her career with drama “Parlor Wali Ladki” in 2018. Some of the dramas that she has performed in include “Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3,” “Ehsaas Faramosh,” “Do Kinare,” “Samajhota,” and “Ahd-e-Wafa.”
