ISLAMABAD: Pakistani television actress Momina Iqbal has revealed that she has been facing prolonged online harassment, cyberbullying, and death threats. She has now appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for intervention.

In the social media platform, Momina narrated the whole incident regarding her experience where the actress said that she is being molested by a Member of the Provincial Assembly belonging to Pakistan Muslim League-N.

According to the statement issued by the actress, she had registered many complaints against him in NCTC, FIA, and the Punjab police but they have been suppressed.

The actress further revealed that rather than getting justice through these complaints, her case got buried under political influence. In addition, the actress stated that even her family members have suffered a lot because of her legal efforts.

While appealing to the Punjab CM, Momina Iqbal sought an impartial investigation into the case, safety for her family, and strict actions against the perpetrators.

Her case won many hearts online, as people on social media came to her support in totality.

Momina Iqbal is a new entrant to the world of entertainment since she started her career with drama “Parlor Wali Ladki” in 2018. Some of the dramas that she has performed in include “Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3,” “Ehsaas Faramosh,” “Do Kinare,” “Samajhota,” and “Ahd-e-Wafa.”
