ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued orders regarding the promotion, appointment, and transfer of several officers.
According to a notification, four ECP officers, Faisal Hakim, Abdullah, Khursheed Alam and Nazar Abbas, have been promoted from Grade 19 to Grade 20.
Following their promotion, Faisal Hakim has been appointed Additional Director General Elections-II, Abdullah as Joint Provincial Election Commissioner Balochistan, and Nazar Abbas as Additional Director General Electoral Rolls.
Meanwhile, Wasim Jafri has been transferred from the post of Joint Provincial Election Commissioner Balochistan to Sindh.

Meanwhile, the federal government has issued a series of orders concerning the transfer, appointment and retirement of senior officers, along with the withdrawal of a previous promotion notification.
According to separate notifications issued by the Establishment Division, Deputy Secretary Nasir Aziz Khan has been transferred from the Ministry of Religious Affairs to the Establishment Division.
Meanwhile, Natiq Hussain Shah, who was awaiting posting, has been assigned as Deputy Secretary in the Defence Division.
The Establishment Division has also issued retirement orders for Deputy Secretary Nasim Ahmed Khan of the Inter-Provincial Coordination Division. He will retire from government service on March 2, 2027, upon reaching the prescribed retirement age.
In another development, the services of Kashif Zubair, Administrative Manager at the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC), have been placed at the disposal of the Balochistan government in Quetta.
The services of Mohsin Zaman Kiani, Section Officer in the Economic Affairs Division, have also been repatriated to his parent department, the Planning and Development Department of the Government of Azad Kashmir.
Separately, the federal government has withdrawn a notification dated June 24, 2025, concerning the promotion of Asad Ali Khan, a Grade-19 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service posted with the Sindh government, from Grade 19 to Grade 20.
According to the Establishment Division, the promotion was withdrawn because it was not actualised within one year.
