PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have established an integrated and advanced security system to ensure the safety of Chinese nationals and other foreign experts residing and working in the province.

According to police officials, the Special Security Unit (SSU) has set up its first state-of-the-art Command and Control Room, while the unit’s first dedicated security contingent has been deployed at Bacha Khan International Airport, where personnel will provide round-the-clock security services.

Officials said the deployed officers have also completed a specialized Chinese language course to facilitate effective communication and assistance for Chinese nationals.

The police further revealed that a comprehensive 28-point security plan has been developed to ensure the safe movement of Chinese citizens and other foreign nationals across the province.

In collaboration with federal agencies, detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) have also been formulated to regulate access to development projects and ensure secure transportation.

Under the new security framework, the Central Command and Control Unit will monitor and secure convoys from departure to their final destinations, while a computerized communication system will provide real-time coordination and information sharing among all districts.

The Command and Control Room will continuously track convoy movements through live location monitoring, and Chinese nationals will be provided with a dedicated emergency contact number for immediate assistance in case of any security-related incident.

Police officials said the Command and Control Room will remain operational at all times to ensure a swift response to any emergency, reinforcing security arrangements for foreign nationals, particularly Chinese citizens, throughout the province.
