QUETTA: Twelve militants were killed during two intelligence-based operations conducted by security forces in Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The military’s media wing said the operations were carried out in Washuk and Mastung districts as part of the ongoing counterterrorism campaign under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-3.
According to ISPR, the operations were conducted on August 5 and 6, 2026, with the objective of targeting militant elements involved in terrorist activities.
The statement said security forces launched an operation in Washuk district on August 5 after receiving intelligence reports about the movement of militants. During the operation, six militants allegedly affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan were killed.
In a separate operation in Mastung district on August 6, security forces engaged militants in an intense exchange of fire, resulting in the killing of six more alleged militants. Their hideout was also destroyed during the operation, ISPR said.
ISPR stated that security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue their operations to eliminate terrorism and ensure national security.
