Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro may not bring the major physical redesign that earlier reports had predicted, with a new leak suggesting the next-generation device could closely follow the design of the iPhone 17 Pro.
A case reportedly made for the iPhone 18 Pro appears to share dimensions and camera cutouts with an iPhone 17 Pro case, indicating that users may see only limited changes to the phone’s exterior.
The leaked case features openings for three rear cameras, an LED flash and a LiDAR scanner, while the overall camera arrangement appears broadly familiar. The development has also cast doubt on reports that the new Pro models would become noticeably thicker to accommodate larger batteries.
The iPhone 18 Pro is nevertheless expected to receive significant internal upgrades. Reports suggest it could feature three 48-megapixel rear cameras covering the main, ultra-wide and telephoto functions.
The device is also rumoured to use Apple’s next-generation A20 Pro chip alongside the company’s C2 modem, internally known as “Ganymede”.
Apple is reportedly planning to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro in September 2028, potentially alongside its first foldable iPhone. While the Pro model’s exterior could remain familiar, Apple may reserve its biggest design change for another device in the lineup.
