A 6.7-magnitude earthquake struck the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, causing panic among the citizens.
According to the Indonesian Meteorological Department, the depth of the earthquake was recorded at 10 kilometers, while its epicentre was about 42 kilometres southeast of the city of Palu.
People came out of their homes and buildings after the earthquake, but according to initial reports, no casualties or property damage were reported. Officials say that no tsunami alert was issued after the earthquake.
