PESHAWAR: Residents of Shangla, Swat, and Buner districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reported feeling earthquake tremors, sparking fear and anxiety across the region.
According to initial reports, there have been no reports of casualties or property damage, according to local authorities, although people have expressed fear about the incident.
The tremors were felt in Shangla’s hilly areas, along with Buner and some areas of Swat, according to reports. The citizens were advised to be cautious and alert about the possibility of aftershocks.
Emergency services are on high alert in case of any need for help. The officials have also warned the people to take precautionary measures regarding their safety.
“People must be safe at all times,” remarked a district official. “Teams are working in the region and will take action immediately if any eventuality occurs.”
This marks another instance of seismic activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where such incidents are common because of its geographic location.
