Muhammad Ijaz Afridi

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi has formally assigned portfolios to provincial ministers, advisers, and special assistants, according to an official notification issued by the Cabinet Wing.

Among the key appointments:

Nazir Ahmad Abbasi has been handed the Energy and Electricity portfolio.

Shakeel Ahmad will oversee Communications and Construction.

Muhammad Arif has been assigned the Minerals Department.

Tariq Mahmood Aryani takes charge of Revenue and Estate.

Shafeeullah Jan will handle Information and Public Relations.

Advisor Musawer Khan will manage Climate Change, Forests, Environment, and Wildlife.

Liaqat Khan is responsible for Zakat, Ushr, Social Welfare, Special Education, and Women Empowerment.

Humayun Khan will lead Industry and Trade.

Mian Muhammad Umar has been assigned Agriculture.

Special Assistant Tariq Saeed takes Interior and Tribal Affairs.

Muhammad Usman will oversee the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority.

Tafail Anjum manages Population Welfare.

Iftikharullah Jan takes charge of Prisons.

Samiullah Khan will handle Transport and Mass Transit.

Malik Adil Iqbal is assigned Culture, Tourism, Archaeology, and Museums.

Muhammad Khurshid takes Livestock, Fisheries, and Cooperatives.

Muhammad Israr will oversee the Food Department.

The move comes as part of the Chief Minister’s efforts to streamline governance and ensure that all departments have dedicated leadership. Officials say the assignments reflect a balance of expertise and experience across the provincial cabinet.
