ISLAMABAD: The government has announced a major healthcare facility under the Prime Minister’s Health Card for permanent residents of Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Under the programme, eligible citizens can receive free medical treatment at government hospitals as well as selected private hospitals by presenting their national identity cards at the time of admission.
Several private hospitals in Islamabad have been included in the Prime Minister’s Health Card panel, including Shifa International Hospital, Rawat International Hospital, Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital, Islamabad International Hospital, Max Hospital and Madina Medical Centre, among others.
Citizens can check their eligibility for the Prime Minister’s Health Card by sending their Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) number via SMS to 8500.
