MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha has suffered a spinal fracture in an accident in Bali, according to Indian media reports.
The actress had travelled to the Indonesian island for work when the accident occurred. Details about her condition were initially not made public.
Her team has now confirmed that Bharuccha sustained a fracture to her spine in the incident and is being prepared for transfer to Mumbai by air ambulance for surgery.
According to her team, the actress is currently under medical observation in Bali, where doctors are conducting further examinations before deciding on the surgical procedure.
Videos circulating on social media reportedly show Bharuccha lying on a stretcher following the accident.
Her team has not disclosed details about the cause of the accident or the date of her transfer to Mumbai.
Media reports said tha Bharuccha is also part of the cast of an upcoming film starring Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff.
